ROSATOM State Corporation emerged as the winner in "Leaders of Corporate Philanthropy", an All-Russian contest for socially responsible businesses, in the special nomination of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum (EWF) for "The Best Corporate Program for Development of Women's Leadership".
On December 6, during an extended session of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum, Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, presented the award to Tatyana Terentyeva, Rosatom's Deputy General Director for Human Resources.
This year the expert jury appreciated Rosatom's contribution to the development of women's leadership programs, highlighting the successful development of the professional women's community of the nuclear industry.
The Foundation for the Support and Development of Women's Initiatives "Association of Women in the Nuclear Industry" runs the project "Women in the Nuclear Industry: Development Vector" in the EWF Council.
At an extended meeting of the Council, project coordinator Alexandra Ryabykh, co-founder of the Foundation, member of the EWF Council, presented the results of work on the international agenda and the initiative of the International Council to support and develop women in science and technology.
Today, the community includes over 1200 members from 35 regions of Russia and 17 foreign countries, including initiative groups of women in the nuclear industry in Russia, Turkey, South Africa, India, Singapore, Armenia, and Egypt.
More than 150 social projects from 100 Russian companies took part in the contest.
“Leaders in Corporate Philanthropy” is a project of the Donors Forum Association aimed at supporting, developing and promoting the ideas of corporate philanthropy and corporate social investments.
The goal of the project is to identify the best examples of social programs and to promote information about corporate charity and social investments in the business environment and in society in general.
