In Latin America, the Impact Team 2050 team has launched a series of events across the continent in the lead-up to the UN Climate Conference (COP30) in Brazil. Under the slogan “Pensar nuclear é pensar em futuro, sustentabilidade e colaboração” (“To think nuclear is to think about the future, sustainability, and collaboration”), the programme showcased how responsible use of nuclear technology can advance sustainable development and social innovation. The activities united young people passionate about nuclear technologies from Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Mexico. At COP30, their delegation presented the outcomes of the 2 years of youth-led work across the continent

Key outcomes

  • Organized a youth session “Empowering Latin American Young Minds Through Nuclear Solutions: Pathway to a Sustainable Future” at the IAEA Atoms4Climate Pavilion and presented the results of the 2-year Latin American Youth Nuclear Movement project, including educational workshops, the 1st and 2nd Latin American Youth Nuclear Forum in Brazil, Sustainable Energy Festival in Bolivia, and Sustainability Hackathon in Argentina
  • Presented the special report “Advancements in Small Modular Reactors”, prepared in partnership with the BRICS Youth Energy Agency and the BRICS Nuclear Energy Platform, at the IAEA session “Regional Leadership and Global Development Pathways of the SMRs

The International Youth Forum on Sustainable Nuclear Technologies gathered more than 300 young professionals, students, and world leaders from 25 countries. The Forum was aimed at popularizing nuclear technologies and the potential of the Egyptian nuclear industry, as well as involving young people in nuclear power. The event was organized by the Nuclear Power Plants Authority of Egypt (NPPA) in partnership with Rosatom. Impact Team 2050 contributed as speakers of panel sessions and lecturers in a TED-talk format

At the World Atomic Week, Impact Team 2050 met with Rosatom Director General to present the results of the projects implemented in Latin America and Central Asia. The members also took part in the strategic session for 100 global young nuclear professionals and developed the Youth Declaration for Nuclear Cooperation which includes seven principles for the world’s nuclear industry. Impact Team members presented the Declaration to international nuclear leaders at the final session of the World Atomic Week

Impact Team 2050 participated in two forums as speakers and held advisory meetings with Rosatom leadership on the strategies to develop Obninsk Tech – a new scientific and educational cluster for global nuclear talent

The Operator also uses Yandex.Metrica, Google Analytics web analytics services to analyze Users’ behavior on the Website and improve the quality of the Website.

3.5.1. Disabling of cookies may result in inability to access some parts of the website impact-mission.org that require authorization.

3.5.2. The Site collects statistics about IP addresses of its Users. This information is used to identify and solve technical problems.

4.2. The Processing of the User’s Personal Data by the Operator is carried out only if the User provides Consent to the Processing of his/her Personal Data. The Consent authorize the Operator to transfer the data to the Organizer of the event, who will take the responsibilities of Processing and Using those with the same controls and security in accordance with the Laws

4.4. The Controller undertakes not to sell, exchange, publish, or disclose in any other possible way the transferred Personal Data.

5. METHODS AND TERMS OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

5.1. The processing of Personal data of the User is carried out without limitation of time, in any legitimate way, including in personal data information systems by automation means or without using such means. You agree that the information you provide in your profile will be partially available to other people and will be used by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

5.2. The User’s personal data can only be transferred to the authorized government bodies of the Russian Federation on the grounds and in the manner established by the laws of the Russian Federation.

7. OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES

7.1. The User undertakes to:

9. SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES

9.2. If an agreement is not reached, the dispute will be referred to the judicial authority at the location of «Rosatom Corporate Academy» ANO.

9.3. This Privacy Policy and the relationship between the User and the Site Administration are subject to the applicable law of the Russian Federation.

10. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

10.1. The Site Administration has the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy without the consent of the User.

The campaign is organized to promote environmental culture and raise awareness about ecological issues and ways to address them. Participation in the campaign is free of charge and is not based on risk or a lottery.

1. Conditions for Participation

1.1. Participants:

Any legally capable individual who is of legal age can participate in the campaign if they:

- Fully and unconditionally accept these Terms and Conditions of Participation.

- Fulfill the conditions set forth in these Terms and Conditions.

- Intend to participate in the campaign in good faith and contribute to the development of environmental dialogue and culture.

1.2. Actions for Participation:

To participate in the campaign, a participant must:

- During the campaign period, visit the campaign website and make a "green promise" (a commitment to follow environmental principles).

- Complete the actions outlined in the campaign rules, which will result in the accrual of "green hearts" (points).

1.3. Earning Points:

2. Termination of Participation in the Campaign

2.1. Reasons for Losing the Right to Participate:

A participant loses the right to participate in the campaign in the event of:

- Dishonest actions or providing false information.

- Violating the campaign rules.

- Posting on social media (on the Organizer’s pages) any negative, defamatory, or groundless comments that harm the honor and dignity of the Organizer or other participants in the campaign.

- Attempting fraud or any other unlawful actions.

2.2. Responsibility:

In the event of a violation of the campaign rules, the participant may be excluded from the campaign without prior notice.
