On December 1-2, 2020 the Global Impact Conference “Energy for Impact” will further the agenda of intercultural and social partnership in solving global challenges.
The global online conference will unite individuals who live mindfully and are working for the common good. The event will interest NGOs seeking insights into how to change the world, businesses exploring corporate citizenship best practices as well as state institutions and international organizations that unite those creating a sustainable reality.
The key topic of the Global Impact Conference “Energy for Impact” will be the role of a human-centric approach in achieving balanced economic growth. Over two days, more than 60 world-renowned experts and 5,000 participants, including governments, NGOs, businesses and social groups are expected to take part in more than 20 sessions.


Dr Likhachev is a Russian economist and business leader. He represented Russia at international negotiations including on its accession to the World Trade Organization.
After becoming Director General of Rosatom, Alexey initiated a new corporate development strategy expanding Rosatom’s leadership in the atomic industry towards global technological leadership across a wide range of new products. The major goal of the new corporate vision is unlocking employees’ potential through continuous education and developing programs to attract the best talent.
Rosatom ranks first in the world among nuclear technology providers in terms of portfolio of foreign projects with 36 power units in 12 countries at different stages of implementation. As professional role, Lena has been a research engineer at EDF in France since 2016.
She is in charge of R&D developments and analyses in the field of severe accident simulations for both fast and light water reactors.
Before joining EDF she worked as a scientist at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany and was in charge of various tasks in European programs and bilateral cooperations.

The SEKEM Holding produces, processes and markets organic and biodynamic foodstuff, textiles and herbal medicine in Egypt, Arabia and internationally.
They also operate educational facilities. SEKEM is regarded as the Egyptian pioneer in Organic farming, and was awarded the Right Livelihood Award (‘Alternative Nobel Prize’) in 2003 under the stewardship of Helmy Abouleish.
Helmy Abouleish is deeply involved in SEKEM since it was founded.
He studied economics and marketing in Cairo and was for a long time campaigning in national and international politics to promote responsible competitiveness, social entrepreneurship and tackling the greatest challenges of the 21st century, such as climate change and food security.
He is member of a number of international organizations and councils, such as Fair Trade USA.
In 2017 he was elected as member of the World Future Council and became NAP-Champion for adapting to climate change. In June 2018 he was elected as president of Demeter International.

From 2010 to 2014, he served as one of the five Commissioners appointed by the US President and confirmed by the US Senate to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). While a commissioner, he advocated the importance of nuclear regulatory independence and the necessity of maintaining strong, credible and technically sound nuclear regulation in the United States and all countries that use nuclear power.
Prior to his appointment at the NRC, from 2005 to 2010 he provided independent strategic and policy advice to US and international clients on energy, environment, education, and technology policy issues. From 1998 to 2005, Mr Magwood was Director of the US Government’s civilian nuclear energy programme at the US Department of Energy (DOE).


She began her career with the Government of the Russian Federation in 1989 and served in various capacities, including as the Third and Second Secretary at the Russian Permanent Mission to the European Union in Brussels (1989-1994) and Deputy Director and subsequently Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Russian Federation (1999-2012).
Before joining the Government of the Russian Federation, she worked as a reporter to “The Economic Gazette” in Moscow (1983-1989).
She graduated from the Department of International Economic Relations of the Moscow Financial Institute, holds a Ph.D and a Doctorate of Economic sciences from the State Financial Academy, Moscow.
She has written extensively on international monetary relations, European economic integration and economic cooperation with Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Colbert has pioneered, expanded and sustained this educational innovation from many organizational spheres: as Viceminister of Education of Colombia, UNICEF´s Education Adviser for LAC and now from Fundación Escuela Nueva (FEN), an NGO she founded to ensure its quality, sustainability and innovation.
She has been recognized with several awards and distinctions in the fields of leadership and social entrepreneurship, such as the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, the Clinton Global Citizenship Award and the Kravis Prize.
She has also been recognized as Outstanding Social Entrepreneur by the Schwab Foundation, Ashoka and the World Technology Network.


She is a specialist in business development of educational organizations, strategic development and launching of innovative objects and development of modern competences.
She has years of experience in building and running educational projects, as well as experience in international practical lobbying activities in the interests of the Russian Federation in cooperation with commercial, academic and government agencies and state institutions.
From 2016 to 2018, she worked as Executive Director of Sberbank's Talent Attraction and Selection Department and was responsible for interaction with Sberbank's universities and students, building common processes in Russia and launching key projects in Moscow.

Chenoy spearheaded National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for 5 years which aims to skill 150 million Indians by 2022 and hence contributed in harnessing India’s demographic dividend.
Prior to NSDC, he was associated with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 19 years and served as the Regional Director for Southern region.
In 2004, he joined Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) as Director General.

She initiated a recycling movement called One Plastic Bag in the Gambia. Through this movement, she educated women in The Gambia to recycle plastic waste into sellable products that earned them income.
Ceesay was born in 1972 in a small village, Njau, in The Gambia. At a very young age, she dropped out of school.
In 1997, together with four other women, she founded the Recycling Centre of N’Jau in her native village in Northern Gambia.
Initially the goal of this project was to educate fellow villagers on the importance and benefits of reclaiming waste in plastic recycling thereby discouraging the act of littering around with plastic waste.
Over the years, the project has grown and now empowers women, providing them with support and income.
The project was recently recognised as an official community-based organisation in the Gambia, now referred to as the Njau Recycling and Income Generation Group (NRIGG). Today, Ceesay works with more than 11,00 people and NRIGG is based in four separate communities across The Gambia.


His expertise is in the identification and development of opportunities for the strategic use of technology in competitive business environments.
Over the past thirty years Stephen has been involved in numerous engagements and has worked with such leaders as eBay, Staples, General Motors, Wells Fargo Bank, Wal-Mart, AT&T Communications, VISA, Vodafone, Nationwide Insurance, American Airlines, and many more.
In 2009 he was also appointed to the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) of USA in the working group on Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD).

M Ventures invests in therapeutics In his role, Jasper oversees a portfolio of >50 investments in biotech, life science tools & technologies, and tech companies.
Prior to this role, Jasper was leading the Healthcare team of M Ventures, which he joined in 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Jasper was an early investor and Board Member in EpiTherapeutics (sold to Gilead), Galecto (NASDAQ), Obseva (NASDAQ), and acted as a founder of Prexton therapeutics (sold to Luendbeck for €903m) and Calypso Biotech.
